Description
The Polaris Premium Glass Gate Latch is designed with both installers and home owners simultaneously in mind, this latch is the pinnacle of latch function, style and longevity. Easy to install, utilizing friction-fit to the latching panel and intentionally positioned holes in the gate, allowing for maximum flexibility in install and performance for the life of the product. The matching MagnaLatch easily installs right on top of the glass gate latch giving it a nice look and knob to pull to get in and out of the gate. Featuring an all 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel construction without the use of any inferior “plated-steel” components that can corrode with time. The Polaris Premium Glass Gate Latches are styled to match our high end hinges but will also work well with any other glass gate hinges.
- Fits glass thicknesses ranging from 13/32" to 15/32"
- Glass to glass mount in the 180 degree, straight line angle
- MagnaLatch must be assembled on to the Polaris latch body after receiving them, see install information in the downloads tab underneath the main photo.
- Gate and fence gap should not exceed 3/8" and the face of the gate and fence should be aligned for the latch to work properly.
- If gate and fence are properly aligned the strong magnetic action of the latch will cause the gate to self lock when it closes. Best when used with Polaris soft closing spring hinges.
- The Non-Key Lockable Models is not recommended for gates protecting swimming pools, as it is a latch that can easily be opened by a child.
- Always check with your building department's local building code requirements before installing in swimming pool areas. And please remember that swimming pool gates must be checked on a regular basis to make sure that they are functioning properly in order to keep small children out of the swimming pool area.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
