Generic 110 Degree Hinge for Frameless Half Overlay Cabinets - Bundle

$800 Per Bundle

One bundle includes 1 hinge, 1 mounting plate, and 2 screws.

Mounting Plate Type

Description

  • Generic straight arm European hinge bundle for half overlay doors.
  • For 3/4" thick half overlay doors on 3/4" frameless cabinets.
  • Half overlay doors overlay less than 1/2 the thickness of the side panel that they are mounted to. Half overlay doors are also known as back-to-back doors. These doors are hinged to opposite sides of the same side panel.
  • Hinge allows vertical, horizontal and depth adjustment after installation.
  • Hinge fits into a 35mm (1-3/8") "cup" drilled into the back of the cabinet door.
  • A typical installation for this hinge and mounting plate is an overlay of 8mm for each door. An 8mm overlay on a 3/4" side panel will leave a 3mm gap between the doors. The bore distance for an 8mm overlay is 4mm (bore distance is the distance from the edge of the door to the edge of the cup that is drilled in the back of the door).

Mounting Plates

  • The "For Wood Screws" mounting plate uses #6 x 5/8 wood screw.
  • The "6mm Screws Preattached" mounting plate is made to be used with cabinets where there are holes drilled for press-in shelf supports.
  • Use the list above to determine which mounting plate you need to achieve your desired overlay.
  • Both mounting plates offer full adjustability.

What's Included

  • 1 x Generic 170 Degree European Hinge
  • 1 x Frameless Mounting Plate (two options available)
  • 2 x Dowels and Screws - preattached to the hinge
  • 2 x #6 x 5/8" Flat Head Wood Screws for the mounting plate

Notes

  • Dowels and screws come preattached to the hinge. Dowels are typically used in MDF or particle board material. If mounting in solid wood, remove the dowels and use the included wood screws.
  • European hinges are made up of two parts: a hinge and a mounting plate. The hinge and the mounting plate attach to each other by snapping together without the use of additional fasteners. Please make sure to order at least two hinge bundles for each door you are hanging. Larger doors may require more than two.
  • When mounting back-to-back hinges on a thinner side panel (for example, 3/4" thick), the screws holding the mounting plates will interfere with each other because they will be attached in exactly the same spots on opposite sides of the side panel. The solution to this is to use a back-to-back screw. These screws are available for purchase separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my hardware once it's been ordered?

The delivery time depends on how far you live from our San Diego warehouse. Generally, your order will reach you in 1 to 5 business days. Shipments do not move on weekends and holidays.

Do you ship merchandise outside the United States?

At this time, we only ship to addresses in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. For APO/FPO/DPO and Canadian orders, please email info@hardwaresource.com with a list of the SKU numbers and quantities you would like to purchase, along with your complete ship to address. Once we receive this information we will email you a shipping quote. Please note: Canadian shipments have a $50.00 minimum order.

I have a hinge that I am trying to replace but I need help identifying it. Can you help?

Yes! Please click here to visit our Hinge Finder page.

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
