Description
Description
- Straight Arm hinge bundle for face frame cabinets with overlay doors
- This hinge can be used for new construction or to replace worn out or obsolete Grass straight arm hinges that open approximately 110 degrees.
- This hinge is available with either 42mm (1-5/8") or 45mm (1-3/4") screw hole spacings for the hinge cup. Screw holes are measured from center to center (center of one hole to the center of the other hole). See the document found under Downloads to view a diagram showing the screw hole spacing.
- An optional restriction clip is not included (restricts door opening to 85 degrees) is available for purchase separately (our SKU 701349).
Features
- A soft close feature which eliminates the slamming door sound that you get with typical self-closing European hinges.
- This hinge has a lever on the back that adjusts the soft close speed by choosing one of three different closing pressure settings.
- The soft close mechanism is fully integrated into the hinge arm rather than the hinge cup.
- Four different adjustments:
- Soft close pressure
- Depth adjustment (+3 mm and -2 mm)
- Side adjustment (overlay on this hinge) +2 mm and -2 mm
- Height adjustment (+2 mm and -2 mm)
- See the document found under Downloads for information on how to adjust

What's Included
- 1 Grass Tiomos Straight Arm Soft-Close Hinge
- 1 Mounting Plate
- 2 #6 Screws for the Mounting Plate
- 2 Plastic Dowels and Dowels Screws (pre-attached to the hinge) - Dowels are typically used on manufactured wood or MDF doors because they hold better than wood screws. If you have a solid wood door, discard the plastic dowels and use either the dowel screws (blunt and slightly shorter) that come with the hinge or purchase #6 flat head wood screws (two per hinge, our SKU 652360).

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?
When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
