Description
Description
- The Blum wrap around mounting plates have been discontinued by Blum. You can use these mounting plates as a substitute.
- The wrap around mounting plates had a small plate that wrapped around the inside edge of the face frame to make installation a bit easier. The wrap around plates have been replaced with new "edge mount plates".
How to Choose the Correct Replacement Plate
- The overlay or Blum stock number is usually stamped on the mounting plate. You may see numbers on your old mounting plate that look slightly different from what is listed below. For overlays of 1" and larger, the important Blum numbers are the first six digits (for ecample, for 130.2110.02, the important digits are 130.211). For overlays of 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4", you need to consider the entire number, although the format may not match exactly.
- The following table shows the discontinued mounting plates and their corresponding overlay dimension. Use the overlay dimension to substitute our regular edge mount plates.

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?
When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
