Q Marly • 01/26/2018, 5:59:00 AM For the screws to aline with existing holes, I need the flat surface with the 3 holes to measure 1 1/2 square. Will these work
A 01/30/2018, 1:04:41 PM Hello Marly, For inset cabinet hinges likes these, we have found that the hole locations in the wrap-around plates never match. Typically the plate that mounts on the face frame do match. The best solution for the wrap-around plate hole location is to move the hinges up or down by 1/4" and redrill, but, we know that is a lot of work and not the favored method for most customers. The other method is to use the existing face frame hole locations and then fill the wrap-around plate holes with Bondo and then redrill for the new hole locations. If the old holes are just slightly off from the new holes, you may also consider filling the old holes with toothpicks to keep the wood screws from "drifting" back to the center of the old holes and forcing the screws to align better with the hole placement of the new hinge. Bottom line, there is no perfect solution and finding new hinges that match the hole pattern of older hinges is not possible.
