Overview
- Architectural grade hinges are recommended for the heavier doors found on custom homes and as an upgrade for residential hinges. Architectural hinges are thicker and of much higher quality than residential grade hinges.
- These are plain bearing hinges. We recommend ball bearing hinges for high-frequency doors and doors equipped with door closers.
- Solid stainless steel leaves and pins.
- The 3" and 3-1/2" hinges come with wood screws. The 4" and 4-1/2" hinges come with wood screws and machine screws.

What is the pin diameter on this hinge. Also, how is the hinge removed for installation? I notice a bottom piece on the hinge pin. Is this screwed off for pin removal. Thank you.

Hi Ronald! The inside pin diameter should be about 1/4" - 5/16". There's a hole in the bottom of the hinge to insert a punch and tap the pin out from the bottom.
