What sets DORMA hardware apart?
Security, function, and visual appeal are all at the heart of every product that DORMA produces. They provide innovative solutions for architects, builders, and designers, all with the end user in mind. DORMA offers a wide range of door closers that ensure maximum safety and security for any type of application.
For exterior doors: 2’6” to 3’6” wide
For interior doors: 2’6” to 4’0” wide
Our selection of DORMA door parts features a dependable and versatile floor-concealed door closing device that is designed specifically for center hung doors. BTS80 Series door closers feature a compact design to allow for installation in thin slab concrete subfloor construction and in other applications in which a large closing device would be prohibitive.
Each device comes with interchangeable spindles to ensure adaptability for almost any installation. Each door closing device features a double-acting and non-handed design. What’s more, each device comes with an adjustable “hold open” feature that can be turned on or off. Every floor-concealed door closer also comes fully equipped with the standard 74010 spindle, providing a 3/4"" clearance between the bottom of the door and the floor surface. There are other spindles that can be special ordered if a different clearance is desired. If you would prefer to conceal the door closer using your own flooring material instead of the standard metal plate, you can special-order a “terrazzo pan” instead. Simply call our office for additional details.
Wherever versatility and adaptability are desired, the BTS80 is the solution you want. This innovative door closer can control exceptionally heavy single-acting and double-acting doors, so you can incorporate the floor closer into almost any design to meet most materials, size, and weight requirements. By choosing DORMA door parts, you can also expect trouble-free performance under adverse climate and traffic conditions.

Double Acting: Double acting hinges swing in both directions.
Ball Bearing: Ball bearing hinges have ball bearings to act as a buffer between the knuckles. They tend to be quieter and more durable than plain bearing hinges. They are recommended for heavy doors and doors fitted with closers.
Roller Bearing: Roller bearings are able to support very heavy loads. Many of our heavy duty gate hinges are equipped with roller bearings.
Frameless: Frameless cabinets do not have a face-frame, and instead rely on thicker side panels for strength. Frameless cabinets are very common in Europe, but have steadily been making their way into America, as they lend themselves well to contemporary and modern designs.
Radius Corner: Radius corners are typically only available on residential grade hinges. Corners are mortised using a router.
Double Demountable: Requires a slot be cut into the door and the cabinet frame.
Glam: Glitzy and glamorous
Global: These designs draw their inspiration from countries around the world.
Mid-Century Modern: Hardware inspired by the Mid-Century Modern movement of the 1950s.
Nature: Shapes and details from the natural world.
Old-World/Rustic: Many products of this style have distressed finishes and a handmade appearance.
Retro: Popular hardware designs from the past.
Traditional: Classic designs with thoughtful shapes and details.
Transitional: A nice blend of contemporary and traditional style.
Residential Grade: These hinges are used in most tract type housing. They are relatively thin and best used on light weight doors.
One-Piece: One-piece hinges are permanently attached to the mounting plate.
Screw-On: Screw-on hinges attach to the mounting plate by securing a screw.
