Q scott carlton • 10/15/2018, 3:03:11 PM I want to have a kitchen cabinet door open upwards and stay open at 90 degrees so I don't have to hold it open. The door is 15" high by 30" wide. Will this hinge work for this application?
A 10/15/2018, 4:16:15 PM Hi Scott! This product doesn't have a weight rating, so we don't believe it will work for the application. You may want to review our section of Vertical Door Stays as these items should have way of calculating to see if it will work. Knowing the weight of the cabinet door will be beneficial as well. https://www.hardwaresource.com/cabinet/cabinet-accessories/door-stays-restraints.html
Q Russell Parnell • 10/22/2018, 3:29:14 PM How do you install the Lid Support Hinge, Up Opening SKU: 286420 ? I do a lot of handyman work but I'm not able to figure out how to attach the hinges. The bottom hole is easy to attach but the upper hole on the hinge is in the spring area, how is it possible to get a screw in that area?
A 10/23/2018, 4:23:39 PM Hi Russell! The support hinge in the closed position should allow you access to upper most screw hole.
