$1277 Per Bundle

One bundle includes 1 hinge, 1 mounting plate, and 2 screws.

Hinge Screw Hole Spacing
Mounting Plate Height

Description

  • Straight Arm 170 degree hinge bundle for face frame cabinets with overlay doors.
  • These hinges can be used to replace old Mepla brand hinges which have a 48mm screw hole center to center spacing.
  • You will no longer find new hinges with "Mepla" stamped on them, as Mepla and Grass merged in 2007 to simply become Grass.
  • Also available in a 42mm screw hole spacing dimension.
  • Please see the "How to Select Your Mounting Plate" document below to verify if this bundle will work for your application and determine which mounting plate is needed.

Features

  • Four different adjustments:
    • Depth adjustment (+3mm and -1mm)
    • Side adjustment / Overlay (+1mm and -3mm)
    • Height adjustment (+2mm and -2mm)
    • See the document found under Downloads for information on how to adjust

Details

  • Hinge cup size is 35mm (1-3/8"). Cup depth is 11mm (7/16").
  • Door opening angle is 170 degrees
  • Works for bore distances from 3mm (1/8") to 8mm (5/16")
  • Works for overlay dimensions from 9mm (11/32") to 22mm (7/8")
  • Works for door thicknesses up to 32mm (1-1/4")

What's Included

  • 1 x Grass "Nexis 170" Straight Arm Hinge
  • 1 x Face Frame Mounting Plate (two options available depending on desired overlay dimension)
  • 2 x #6 Screws for the Mounting Plate
  • 2 x Plastic Dowels and Dowels Screws (pre-attached to the hinge) - Dowels are typically used on manufactured wood or MDF doors because they hold better than wood screws. If you have a solid wood door, discard the plastic dowels and use either the dowel screws (blunt and slightly shorter) that come with the hinge or purchase #6 flat head wood screws (two per hinge, our SKU 652360).

Available for purchase separately:

  • Soft-Close Add-On Device - Eliminates slamming of the door and dampens the closing action. (SKU 701807)
  • Plastic Dowels, used on manufactured wood products where wood screws do not hold well (SKU 652368)
  • #6 flat head wood screws for the hinge side, can be used in place of the included plastic dowels and dowel screws (SKU 652360)
  • 35mm Forstner Bit, for new installations (SKU 204000)

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get my hardware once it's been ordered?

The delivery time depends on how far you live from our San Diego warehouse. Generally, your order will reach you in 1 to 5 business days. Shipments do not move on weekends and holidays.

Do you ship merchandise outside the United States?

At this time, we only ship to addresses in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. For APO/FPO/DPO and Canadian orders, please email info@hardwaresource.com with a list of the SKU numbers and quantities you would like to purchase, along with your complete ship to address. Once we receive this information we will email you a shipping quote. Please note: Canadian shipments have a $50.00 minimum order.

I have a hinge that I am trying to replace but I need help identifying it. Can you help?

Yes! Please click here to visit our Hinge Finder page.

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
