      • Double demountable hinges mount with two inserts; one in a slot on the edge of the face frame and the other in a slot on the edge of the door. No screws are required.
      • This hinge is made for overlay doors. An overlay door is a door that is larger than the cabinet opening that it covers. When the door is closed it sits on top of the opening. No part of the door enters the opening when the door is in the closed position.

1 Question asked about 1/4" Overlay Double Demountable Hinge

Q Cristina • 11/09/2018, 6:13:05 PM How do you install these hinges? More specifically, how do you measure and cut out the space in the cabinet door and the cabinet frame, in order for the tongue “inset” to slide into them and be screwed, tightened???
A 11/12/2018, 8:51:41 AM Cristina, this hinge requires a slot cutter bit to make the demountable cutouts in the frame and door. Just make sure that when you make the slot on the frame, that it will accommodate a 1/4" door overlap when fully closed, and then these hinges will work no problem for you. Once you have the slots cut, then the hinge just slides in and tightens down by turning the set screws.
