• Shutter dogs are usually installed in the vertical position, with the heavier end at the bottom

• Shutter Dogs are reversable (non-handed)
• To install in masonary, use two 3/8" lag shields per shutter dog pair. Lag Shields are not included but are offered for purchase during checkout.

• Shutter Dog measures 6-3/4" tall by 2-3/8" wide
• Black wood screws are included for the anti-rattle hook
• Two 3/8" x 4" black lag screws are included per pair of shutter dogs

As you are standing outside the house looking at your pair of shutters, the right hand shutter dog goes on the shutter on your right and the left hand shutter dog goes on the shutter on your left. The shutter dog in the photo is a Right Hand model. If you are ordering two shutter dogs for a window that has a shutter on each side, order one left hand and one right hand.
• The Shutter Dog measures 7" tall and 2-1/2" wide. Included is a 4.5" lag bolt. Please note; lag bolt is made from stainless steel.
• These shutter dogs are sold by the each. Order one shutter dog per shutter.
• Bronze is an old world material that does not deteriorate in coastal or other regions. The Bronze finish, however, is a "living" finish. Please read more about this by clicking on the link.
