• The 4" size has a sealed roller bearing that measures 1.849" outside diameter by .786" inside diameter by .55" thick. Uses a 5/8" x 5" pivot bolt. Post side welding plate measures 2" x 4.25". Gate side welding plate measures 2" x 3.25". The spacing between the gate and post is 4.25".
• Both hinges feature a 220 degree swing range. Both hinges use a nylon locking nut on the bottom of the pivot bolt.

• This is a very heavy duty hinge specially made for heavy gates and doors.
• This hinge will swing a full 180 degrees if installed without a stop.
• Hinge is made up of a mounting plate (flange) and J-Bolt arm.
• Hinge pivots on a steel ball bearing and includes a grease fitting to keep the bearing lubricated.
• Mounts with 3/8" lag screws or bolts (not included).
• The minimum gap between the post and edge of gate frame is 2-7/8" for SKU 783000.
• The maximum spread between the two nuts on the threaded part is as follows; for the 783000 it is 2-3/4".

• This Mortise Mount Spring Pivot differs from our Surface Mount Spring Pivot in that both the bottom and top units (pivots) may be mortised into the door. Note the difference in the placement of the door bracket on the spring cylinder.
• The 2.5" diameter spring cylinder on the bottom pivot can be mortised into the door. Since the maximum door thickness that the unit will accomodate is 2.5" the cylinder will show and be flush with a 2.5" thick door.
• The Spring Pivot Hinge is a double-acting hinge. The hinge swings 90 degrees in both directions and returns to center.
• Spring tension is adjustable.
• Hinge does not have "Hold Open" feature.
• Base is cast steel. Hinge sits on ball bearings.
