• Hinge shims are used to re-align your doors.
• Doors that are mis-aligned bind on the door frame which causes difficulty in opening and closing.
• Hinge shims are made of high impact plastic, far superior to cardboard shims which compress over time.
• Installation;
  • They are installed under the hinge leaf
  • Each shim allows for 1/16" of adjustment.
  • To achieve more adjustment, simply increase the number of shims.
  • The door and hinge does not need to be removed to install the shims.
  • Shims are installed by removing two screws and loosening the others.
  • Shim is slipped inbetween the hinge and door or frame.
  • Hinge screws are replaced and tightened.
• Available in 3 sizes and sold by the pack. Shims are color coded for easy size recognition:
  • For 3.5" hinges, shims are white(18 shims per pack)
  • For 4" hinges,shims are gray (15 shims per pack)
  • For 4.5" hinges, shims are black (15 shims per pack)

• Hinge security studs are specially made for outward opening doors.
• They keep the door securely in place if the door's hinge pins are removed.
• Installation:
  • These are general instructions, use the instructions printed on the package to actually install the studs and sleeves.
  • Install two studs per door, one near the top hinge on the door and one near the bottom hinge on the door.
  • Drill a 1/2" diameter hole about 1 inch above or below the hinge on the edge of the door.
  • Insert the stud on the door edge
  • Drill a 1/2" diameter hole in door jamb, exactly opposite your first hole and install the sleeve.
• When the door is in the closed position, the stud inserts into the sleeve and will prevent the door from being removed if the hinge pins are pulled out of the hinges.
• This product is sold by the pack. A pack includes two studs and two sleeves which is what you normally need for one door.

• Security studs are used for exterior doors that open outward. Doors that open outward have their hinge pins on the outside of the building.
• If a potential intruder removes the hinge pins, the security stud protects the door from being removed by locking the leaves of the hinges together.
• To install the security studs, remove two screws from your hinge. These two screws must be aligned back to back when the hinge (or door) is closed.
• Replace one of the screws with a security stud and drill a receiving hole in the other empty screwhole
• When the door closes the security stud will slide into the receiving hole locking the two hinge leaves in place
• Security studs are available to fit a #10 screwhole and a #12 screw hole
• To determine your screw hole size it is best to take a countersunk screw with a known size and place it in the hinge screw hole.
• A #10 countersunk head screw measures 11/32" across the head. A #12 countersunk head screw measures 3/8" across the head.
• The larger studs (SKU 309250 and SKU 309252) are threaded with a 12-24 machine screw thread which matches the thread that is used on metal door frames. Both size studs will work on wood doors and frames.
• They are sold by the pair (two studs)

• Hinge pins are not universal. Each manufacturer makes his hinge pins in a different size that will only fit the hinge that it was made for.
• We carry only two hinge pins and they are made for Stanley residential hinges with a 0.234" hinge pin thickness.
• We carry them in two sizes; one fits a 3-1/2" by 3-1/2" hinge and the other fits a 4" x 4" hinge.

• Automatic door closer device works by removing your existing hinge pin and replacing it with the "Hinge Pin Door Closer".
• Easy to install.
• Works for most doors that are 30 lbs. or less. For doors that are more than 30 lbs. use a second hinge pin door closer on the door on the bottom hinge.
• Available in brass finish or satin nickel finish.
• Comes with wrench to adjust tension.

• Touch latch is invisible from the outside of the door.
• When you use a touch latch no other hardware (knob, pull, latch) is needed on your door giving it a clean look.
• Available in either a regular duty or heavy duty model. The heavy duty model is slightly larger and has much stronger spring action. Use the heavy duty model for solid core or heavy doors.
• How it works; gently push in on the outside surface of the door. The door releases from the latch and pops outward.
• The auxiliary pusher (sold separately) is used where a vacuum condition exists (for example a small closet) or any situation where the door does not open easily.The auxiliary pusher may be used with either the regular duty or heavy duty latch.
• All mounting fasteners, a metal template and full instructions are included.
• The face and internal parts of the latch are made from solid brass and steel. The case is made from plastic.
• The auxiliary pusher is made from solid brass and nylon and the spring is made from steel.

• Pull for pocket doors remains recessed in edge of door until you push on the tab at the bottom and pull it to the open position.
