With half an inch to work with, the gap range will be between 2 - 7/8" and 3 - 3/8". This will help prevent the need to re-install the hinge or buy a different one due to improper fit. The zinc chromate bolt-on pivot hinge 4" features a sealed roller bearing, so no greasing is required. These install with four 1/2" diameter lag screws and hex bolts.
