- These extra heavy duty ball bearing strap hinges can hold up to a 3800 lb. gate or door. Hinge choice is based on gate width and weight. See chart at link below to assist in hinge choice and number of hinges to use.
- These are the best quality and heaviest weight strap hinges that we know of.
- Offset pintle can be set back on face of jamb or wall to allow swing clear application.
- Strap and pintle painted off-white. User can repaint with a different color if desired.
- Pintle pin & bearings are zinc plated for rust resistance.
- These hinges are made in USA.
- Pintle uses 1/2” lag screw, strap uses 3/8” lag screw.

Strap Hinges, Heart Style, Heavy Duty

- Strap hinges are available in two finishes. The 4 smaller sizes are a "Rough Black Iron" finish. The 2 larger sizes are a "Smooth Black Iron" finish.
- The hinge pin is removable so that the pad (smaller leaf) may be reversed. This allows the hinge to be installed as either a full-surface hinge or a half-surface hinge.
- The weight rating on the 9" and 13" hinge applies to a door with a maximum door thickness of 1-3/8" and a maximum door width of 32" using 3 hinges per door.
- The weight rating on the 17" and 20.5" hinge applies to a door with a maximum door thickness of 1-3/4" and a maximum door width of 36" using 3 hinges per door
- The 30" and 36" hinges are extra heavy duty hinges and are rated at 600# per pair of hinges.
- These hinges match our "Heart" style gate latches found in the Gate Latch and Gate Lock section of the website. Two "Heart" style latches are offered for purchase during checkout.

- This very high quality solid bronze strap hinge is made for use in coastal areas or anywhere a rustic old world design is desired. From our "Solid Bronze Collection".
- This product is sold in components. The components consist of 2 items; a strap which attaches to the gate surface and a pintle which attaches to the post. The pintle is available as either a "Plate Pintle" or a "Screw-in Pintle".
- Lag screws are included. The Lag Screws are made from stainless steel and coated black. Lag Screws are available in two lengths (1.5" or 2.5"). Please specify which length you prefer in the "Comment" section when you checkout.
- Two hinges will support a 150 lb. gate or door. Three hinges will support a 250 lb. gate or door.
- Bronze is an old world material that does not deteriorate in coastal or other regions. The Bronze finish, however, is a "living" finish. Please read more about this by clicking on the link.
